The Placid Workplace

Description
The placid workplace is designed for a textile business owner. Taking cue from the proportions of the weaving handloom, the internal partitions was conceived as a set of horizontal and vertical MS members akin to the warp and weft of the textile fabric. Plain and frosted glass infills were used for privacy and functionality, whilst the wooden infill band was used to provide a visual break. The clutter-free approach to space planning and a minimalist palette of polished natural teak wood, black painted metal, frosted and clear glass, white walls and ceiling and light grey flooring generates a placid working environment in this office that is located within one of the busiest areas of downtown Ahmedabad.
