THE FRAMED VERANDAH HOUSE
AHMEDABAD, 2026
The Framed Verandah House reimagines the verandah as more than a transitional element, transforming it into a spatial device that shapes the experience of the home. Through layered volumes, framed vistas, and interconnected spaces, the project establishes a continuous dialogue between interior and landscape. A central courtyard and varying heights introduce light, openness, and visual connectivity, while a restrained material palette lends warmth and permanence. Rooted in climate and everyday living, the house creates a sequence of spaces that are both intimate and expansive, offering a timeless interpretation of contemporary domestic architecture.
